Join us on an exciting journey as we plant a new church in Mernda, Melbourne!
Hi everyone! Today, I’m stepping in front of the camera to share some amazing news—our church is planting a new church in Mernda, a rapidly growing suburb in Melbourne, Australia. Everything I write below is already in the video, so feel free to just watch that!
Melbourne is one of the most secular cities in Australia, and Mernda is an area that is rapidly expanding but has very few gospel-centred, Reformed churches. We believe that God is calling us to bring the hope of Jesus to Mernda and to establish a community where people can experience the love and truth of Christ.
Our vision is to start small, with Sunday afternoon services and family-friendly gatherings, and grow from there. We want to be a welcoming presence in Mernda, building connections, setting up small groups, and raising up leaders from within the congregation to guide and shepherd this new faith community.
But to make this vision a reality, we need your help.
Here’s How You Can Get Involved:
Pray for Us: We need your prayers! Pray for the people of Mernda, for the logistics of starting this church, and for the hearts of those who will be part of it. You can also sign up for our dedicated prayer newsletter to receive regular updates and specific prayer needs. You can do so here:
Support Financially: Just like supporting a missionary, we’re inviting you to partner with us financially to make this church plant possible. Whether it’s $20, $50, or $100 a month, every contribution will help us bring the good news of Jesus to Mernda. Your support will help cover essential costs like hiring a venue, purchasing worship resources, and supporting the role of a community pastor/community engagement worker. This button will take you to our church’s website where you can set up a once off or recurring gift.
Together, we can make a real difference. Thank you for being part of this journey with us—may God bless you as we step out in faith together!
