Romans 1:8-15
Scripture: Romans 1:8-15 (ESV)
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers, asking that somehow by God’s will I may now at last succeed in coming to you. For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— that is, that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that I have often intended to come to you (but have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles. I am under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish. So I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.

In following Jesus, we’re called to adopt a similar posture of eagerness to serve, to build up one another, and to share the hope and love we’ve found in Christ.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the gift of community and the mutual encouragement we find in the body of Christ. Help me to cultivate a heart that is eager to serve, to share, and to strengthen others in faith. Guide me to recognize the opportunities You place before me to connect with others, to offer support, and to learn from their walk with You. May my actions reflect Your love and grace, and may I always be ready to share the reason for the hope that I have in Jesus. Amen.

Reflect on your community and consider someone who might need encouragement or support today. Reach out to them with a message, a call, or a small act of kindness. Show eagerness to serve not just in words but in action. Let this day be an opportunity to strengthen the bonds within your community, reminding others (and yourself) of the joy and support found in the family of God.
